When you get the news that you are pregnant, it should, by all rights, be a time of Joy. But for many women and girls, yes.. Girls… It is not. The news incites terror, fear, and desperation. This was me.. Not once, but twice in my lifetime. For each pregnancy, I chose two very different outcomes. One I regret. One I do not. But both brought me to my knees and, ultimately, my losses put me face to face with My Savior, Jesus Christ. What He did with me at that moment changed me forever. I will never be the same. I call it my "Esther moment" if you're familiar with God’s Word (Scripture). I truly believe I was brought here for such a time as this..
My time is now. Standing up. Speaking the Truth about abortion. About adoption. About purity. About all the things that lead a girl to a place of desperation. A place I know all too well. Little girls do not say "When I grow up, I want to have an abortion." Monsters are not born; they are made. Made by their environment, by those who prey on them, by those who do not protect them, by those who do not step in and help them. Monsters are first victims.
I implore you who are reading this.. If you are living the life I was living – in sin. Sleeping around, seeking love from those who will never give it to you. Or if you are suffering in an addiction – alcohol, eating disorder, drugs, pornography.. those things will NEVER overpower the pain you feel. Look to Jesus. He is your/our Only Hope. He can forgive. He can heal. He can restore. We have a Good, Good Father in Heaven who desires only that we come to His Son and give Him all. Give Him our lives – our pain, our past, our present, our future. He CAN make all things new! I am praying for you every single day. Much love, Meg
